Bringing your first baby home is magical—and let’s be honest, a little overwhelming too. You’re learning how to care for this tiny new human, adjusting to sleepless nights, and trying to soak in every moment before it passes. The last thing you want to do is pack up the diaper bag, wrestle with the car seat, and rush to a studio.
That’s exactly why I offer in-home newborn photography sessions—a calm, comfortable alternative designed with first-time parents in mind.
There’s no pressure to “have it all together.” You don’t have to get dressed up or clean the entire house. I bring everything with me—the wraps, props, backdrop stand, lighting, and gentle posing guidance—so your job is simply to love on your baby while I handle the rest. We’ll turn a small corner of your home into a cozy studio, and I’ll take care of the magic.
And yes—you’ll still get the beautiful, timeless images you fell in love with on my website. Many first-time parents worry that their home won’t look like a studio, but I’ve got you. I know how to work with light and space to deliver consistent results no matter where we shoot.
This sweet Simi Valley couple welcomed their first baby five weeks ago, and their session was pure joy. With their baby wrapped and snuggled, we created a gallery full of tender, emotional moments—right in their living room. No rushing. No stress. Just love.
If you’re a first-time parent and looking for a newborn photographer in the Simi Valley area who understands what you’re going through, I’d be honored to bring the studio experience to you.
When should we book our newborn session?
It’s best to book during your third trimester to secure your spot. I’ll pencil you in based on your due date and adjust once your baby arrives.
What if our home isn’t “photo ready”?
No worries at all! I only need a small space with natural light or room for my light setup. I’m not photographing your whole house—just a small, cozy area.
Can we be in the photos too?
Absolutely! I encourage parents to join in. Your connection with your baby is the most beautiful part of the story.
What should our baby wear?
Nothing at all! I provide wraps, headbands, and simple props. You don’t need to bring a thing.
Is five weeks too old for newborn photos?
Not at all. While the traditional newborn window is under two weeks, in-home sessions are flexible. Babies up to six weeks (and sometimes beyond) can still be beautifully photographed.
