I intentionally don’t schedule newborn sessions back-to-back because every baby deserves my full attention. No one is rushing you. No one is watching the clock. Why do your newborn sessions take 2–4 hours?
Because babies set the pace. Unlike photographing adults, newborn photography can’t be rushed. Your baby may need:

I build extra time into every session because I never want parents to feel stressed watching the clock. Some sessions finish earlier. Some take longer. That’s completely normal.
Is it safe to pose newborn babies?
Absolutely. Your baby’s comfort and safety will always come before any photograph. Every pose is done slowly, gently, and only if your baby is comfortable. If your little one doesn’t enjoy a particular position, we’ll simply move on. I am also certified in baby safety so I know what cues to look for to make sure they are ok and supported throughout the session.
What if my baby cries during the session?
That’s completely normal. In fact, I expect it. Babies cry because they’re communicating. Sometimes they’re hungry. Sometimes they need to be held. Sometimes they simply need a few extra minutes. We’ll take breaks whenever your baby needs them. There is absolutely no pressure to “keep the session moving.”

Yes! I bring everything needed for your newborn session, including professional lighting, wraps, blankets, posing equipment, and carefully selected props. When should I book my newborn photographer?
The best time to reserve your newborn session is during your second trimester. We’ll use your due date as a placeholder and adjust your session once your baby arrives. Booking early gives you the best chance of securing availability while also allowing us plenty of time to plan your experience.
Do parents and siblings participate? Is it an extra charge?
Absolutely, and it’s no extra charge for me. Time for the family posing is included in the session fee.
Why do you photograph newborns in clients’ homes instead of a studio?
Since moving to Southern California, I made the decision not to open another permanent studio space. Instead, I started asking myself one question: “What’s actually easier for parents?”After attending parent-centered trainings and learning more about the importance of keeping newborns home during those first couple of weeks, the answer became clear.
